Nothing new, nothing fancy, just fixed design. No need for SYE as there is no slip yoke to eliminate. Pull the flange and put on an 1350 yoke if you desire, stick with 1330 or whatever you feel the need to do. And, No, a Rubicon t-case does not need to be shorter. I've rebuilt my original one and not sure how you'd ever shorten the case itself.
Anywho check for play at that joint, There may be a little at the slip yoke, where the tailshaft comes out of the transfer-case , but nowhere else should have any. If those joints are loose: replace U-joint While your under there you might as well check the front drive-shaft also.

Oct 31, 2015 · SYE stands for Slip Yoke Eliminator. The Slip yoke is the yoke that slides over the output shaft of the transfer case. This is the yoke that the rear driveshaft connects to at the Transfer case. The SYE kit replaces the stock slip yoke and housing with a sealed housing and a fixed flange or yoke.
